I help writers shape their stories – and share a few of my own. I’ve spent my life with words — shaping them, rearranging them, and chasing the ones that get away.

I’ve worked as a magazine editor in Hong Kong, a book editor in Melbourne, taught writing and publishing at university, and have published articles in Australia and internationally. I have published books and online work. I was awarded a Master of Creative Writing from the University of Canberra. I am past president of the Society of Editors (WA), an accredited editor, and past assistant editor, indigo literary journal in Western Australia.

As a writer, I'm interested in the the edges of experience – place, memory, identity and the creative process. My work spans fiction, travel memoir, and short-form lyrical pieces. I publish roughly monthly on Substack, where I share relections, musings and creative fragments under
